Introducing the Grief With Grace Companion: 100 Days of Gentle Support Through Grief

Grief With Grace Companion — 100 days of gentle support through grief

I am so pleased to share something very special that I have been working on as part of my Grief With Grace journey to complement my website, books and resources.

Introducing the Grief With Grace Companion — 100 Days of Gentle Support Through Grief.

Losing someone you love is hard because while the world around you somehow continues to move forward, you are learning how to live in a world that suddenly feels different, navigating ordinary moments that no longer feel ordinary and discovering that grief can find you in the supermarket, in the car, while making a cup of tea, when you hear a familiar song, in the garden or in the quiet moments and memories.

It was from that understanding that I wanted to create something peaceful, calm, compassionate and comforting, not something that tries to tell you how you should grieve, how long grief should last, or what you should be feeling by a particular day, but something that calmly meets you wherever you happen to be and peacefully sits with you for a little while.

The Grief With Grace Companion contains 100 days of reflections, encouragement and gentle moments of calm, created to give you somewhere safe to land when your heart needs a little extra compassion and kindness, particularly through those early days when everything can feel unfamiliar and overwhelming.

However, although it is called 100 Days, this companion is absolutely not only for the first 100 days after loss, because grief does not have an expiry date and neither does love. You might begin this journey one week after losing someone precious, six months later, two years later, or even ten years after your loss, and my hope is that you will still find something within these pages that brings a little calm, peace and reassurance to wherever you are in your journey.

You also don’t have to complete it perfectly, start on a particular date, or even visit it every day. Some days you may want to spend time with it and other days you may not need it at all, and that is completely okay. It has been created to be there when you need it rather than becoming another thing you feel you have to do.

Perhaps more than anything, I wanted to create the kind of companion I believe those of us with grieving hearts need, one that does not rush you towards “moving on” but calmly reminds us that we are learning how to carry love differently, while slowly finding our way through a life that has been forever changed by someone who mattered deeply.

I am incredibly proud to finally share the Grief With Grace Companion, and I hope that whether your loss was yesterday or many years ago, you will find moments within these 100 days that help you feel a little bit of peace, a little calmer, and a little less alone.

You can begin whenever you are ready at companion.griefwithgrace.co.nz or through the Companion link on my website, www.griefwithgrace.co.nz.

And if someone came to mind while you were reading this, perhaps you could share it with them too, because sometimes we cannot take away another person’s grief, but we can lovingly remind them that they do not have to find their way through every moment of it alone.

With love,
Kylie
